JUICY DETOX TIP: Emma’s juicing tips

- With a conventional juicer, always consume your juice freshly made.

- Keep your juices vegetable based. For a little sweetness, adding one green apple can be enough to make it palatable without a huge sugar hit. Better still, add a few drops of liquid stevia.

- If you add carrot or beetroot, limit it to no more than 25%, otherwise the sugar content gets to high.

WEIGHT LOSS: How To Guide Part II Nutrition

Further to Sarah’s comment on ‘Low Fat’ foods (or “non-foods” as I prefer to call them), these do not support weight loss.  On the contrary, foods that have been processed and stripped of their fat can actually encourage the body to produce more fat.  It’s a subject that has been completely confused and abused.  There’s lots we need to relearn about fats, but to get you started, here’s a few simple tips to keep in mind to kick start your New Year’s weight loss and improve your overall health also:

QUICK DETOX TIP: Sugar Cravings & Low Energy

I definitely recommend the use of stevia too! It allows you to keep the “sweetness” in your food while you nix the sugar, honey, sweet fruits and other yeast-feeders. Not only does this allow the body to Detox but will also alleviate the symptoms of candida and other fungal issues, as well as allowing the excess weight to drop off. I use stevia in my smoothies, ‘hot chocolate’, overly-icky-vegetable juices, lemon water and cleverly healthy sweet treats.

D E T O X – Do it Right!

“Detox” is a term that has become so overused and often confused. What’s important to remember is that a hard-core juice fast isnt the only (or necessarily the best) way to start cleaning out your insides. As with most things in life: slow and steady wins the race.
